    On the battlefields of the ancient world
                   
    While Roman Princeps Prior yelling wild commands to their cohorts, Greek hoplites are forming phalanges, mighty Minotaurs tear through the ranks of soldiers and throwing them aside as if they were nothing more than a pebble. In Theogonia meet the most powerful of the last ancient nations on the battlefield again, as well as the countless mythological creatures that are known from the myths and legend of ancient world. And in the middle of all of this are you, a young god whose sole aim is to impose his own will with whatever it takes to lead his nation to fame and fortune. For that huge cities has to be build, forests must be cut done and ore mines has to be emptied until the last lump. In addition to secular authorities, as it has a legionnaire, a god has abilities to cast supernatural miracles. Let it rain stones on enemy merchant caravans, raise powerful volcanoes in neighboring cities or open the throat to hell to bring about bloodthirsty creatures to earth, just by snapping your fingers.

    As mighty and powerful you can be, as weak you can be shattered to ground. The fundaments of your power are your people, your nation. Woe to you, if you overvalue the taxes or if you do not provide enough food or water to your people. Then you will be punished and abandoned and disappear lonely in the eons. So keep your people happy, build bathhouses for cleanliness, build warehouses for logistical supply, universities for higher education and massive arenas in which death-defying gladiators smash each other. Are you able to tread the fine line of divinity and rewrite the history book? It is up to you, little God.
     
    Different and yet so familiar
     
    Unlike other online strategy games, the action takes place primarily on the tactical map, where troops get there commands, structures were build and miracles were cast. Short and logical click ways help novices to get into the games action very fast and to dominate the micro management.

    Beside the joy of playing, Theogonia offers players the chance to refresh the knowledge of the ancient world and its mythological background. Essential facts about units, buildings, development, gods and even mythological creatures are given. An informative text will refresh the knowledge of the players again and provides many interesting additional facts.
